PIP-II is a new particle accelerator that will power record-breaking neutrino beams and drive a broad physics research program at Fermilab for the next 50 years.
Recently Zanon has successfully completed the chemical and heat treatment of one LB650 cavity for PIP-II in collaboration with INFN-LASA (https://news.fnal.gov/2021/07/fermilab-and-infn-sign-3-agreements/) and we are ready for its final integration in the titanium helium tank!
Zanon has also completed successfully the mechanical fabrication of 4 additional LB650 cavities in collaboration with Fermilab teams.
We are very proud to be part of such an important project, working on the prototyping phase is a great opportunity for Zanon.
