ZANON IS KNOWN WORLDWIDE AS MANUFACTURER OF RF CAVITIES FOR SUPERCONDUCTING AND NON-SUPERCONDUCTING APPLICATIONS
Our cavities are applied to Physics Research and Medical field. We manufacture and test every type of superconducting Cavity, from Prototyping to Serial Production, using different materials and including niobium, in which ZANON has a deep and consolidated experience.
ZANON has been collaborating with all main Research Institutes worldwide and has contributed to several international projects, such as ALPI Linac, LHC Cern, ISAC-II, SPIRAL II, FRIB, COSY-SCL, TRASCO, IFMIF-DONES, MYRRHA, FNAL Proton Driver, ESS, EUCARD, LCLS-II, PIP-II, HL-LHC, and many others.
In particular, a very extensive contribution was given to the X-FEL project.

ZANON IS HIGHLY EXPERIENCED IN MANUFACTURING SC ELLIPTICAL CAVITIES
From 600 MHz to 3.9 GHz having been deeply involved in prestigious Projects like TRASCO, EUCARD, XFEL, ESS, LCLS-II, PIP-II.
Zanon played an outstanding role in European XFEL Project, in particular:
• 420 units of 9 cells 1.3 GHz cavities and 20 units of 9 cells 3.9 GHz cavities were manufactured, treated and integrated into the titanium helium tanks, also produced by Zanon in according to PED category IV, with a delivery production rate of 4 units/week;
• 146 units of titanium helium tanks were prefabricated, He leak checked and sent to DESY;
• 45 units of cryomodules completed with the cold-mass were prefabricated and tested.
For this huge and important project Zanon has developed a new electropolishing machine dedicated to the surface treatment of the elliptical cavities and it has improved the original plant with the purchase of an ultra high vacuum furnace dedicated only to the Nb treatments.
For XFEL project Zanon and DESY has worked together establishing a sort of collaboration with INFN-LASA support. In fact, after a first phase where DESY has qualified the material, the design of the cavities and their surface treatment, the technology was transferred

Zanon is experienced in manufacturing 1 or 2 gap spoke SC Cavities
having been involved in important Projects like MYRRHA Project and having collaborated with prestigious Institutes like Los Alamos National Lab, FNAL Proton Driver, ESS.
Zanon manufactured the prototypes ß= 0,22 325 MHz Single Spoke Resonator for FERMILAB FNAL Proton Driver and the complete series of ß =0,5 325 MHz Double Spoke Resonator for ESS project in Lund.
Zanon is highly experienced in manufacturing SC Half Wave Cavities
Having been involved in important superconducting Projects like COSY-SCL, TRASCO and IFMIF-DONES.
For the IFMIF/EVEDA project in Japan Zanon produced a complete series of ß=0,094 175 MHz Half Wave Resonator integrated into the titanium He tank. Now Zanon is involved in the development of the prototype for DONES a project similar to IFMIF but placed in Europe.

Zanon is highly experienced in the manufacturing of SC Quarter Wave Cavities
having been involved in several superconducting Projects like ALPI Linac, ISAC-II (a project for higher energies at ISAC), SPIRAL II, FRIB.
In particular for FRIB project we have fabricated more than 90 QWR (with a resonant frequency = 80.5 MHz) in niobium and integrated into a titanium helium vessel. We have also produced the tuning plate also in niobium.

Zanon is experienced in manufacturing srf Quadrupole Cavities
- RFQ1 cavity, 80 MHz RF, full-niobium quadrupole superconducting cavity, overall dimensions 810mm x1410mm length.
- RFQ2 cavity, 80 MHz RF, full-niobium quadrupole superconducting cavity overall dimensions 810mm x800mm length.
